What Rebecca says about me…

I have known Angie for about 2 and a half years. I first met her while attending breastfeeding support group with Oliver (2.5 years) and continued to attend group antenatally and postnatally with Lily (17 months). It sounds very cliche but I really don’t know what I would have done without Angie’s support through both breastfeeding journeys, with Oliver I had postnatal depression and found it hard to get out and socialise with him and always found breastfeeding group a safe place to go to with a complete lack of judgement in whatever I said. Everything I was feeling, Angie helped me to realise what was normal and what I needed support with and I fully believe that if I had not fallen pregnant with Lily so soon after Oliver, I would have fed them both thanks to the brilliant support on offer. Angie still continues to support me and my children even though our breastfeeding journeys have been over for more than a year. No question is ever too silly and she always seems available to talk to over messenger if I need her, despite being super busy with her own family and commitments. She helped a very unconfident, terrified new mummy find her way with her babies and I really could not thank her enough. The first few years with babies are the most important and thanks to emotional and sometimes practical support I do feel like I’m making a positive difference to my children’s lives ❤
